About Designs By The Public

• Designs By The Public is a project of the Integrated Circuit group of Eindhoven University of Technology, The Netherlands. It is part of the Sector Plans funding program of NWO, the Dutch Research Council and the project leader and lead researcher of this project is Elles Raaijmakers.
• The goal of Designs By The Public is to increase the visibility of the field of integrated circuit design for the general public - and what better way than to share the fun and excitement of designing your own integrated circuit!
• Integrated circuits are often referred to as "chips" and are currently receiving lots of attention due to their strategic value: they are essential parts of many everyday items from televisions through toothbrushes and cars.
